Purifying Ritual Duo: Centered around just a few simple plant allies and is an ideal choice for skin that is at its most troubled, whether that be blemish-prone, congested, and reactive.
Neem Immortelle Purifying Infusion is the union of two infused oils, and a single essential oil. It is one of our most simple, unique and most labor-intensive formulations. Neem leaf is the star botanical in Ayurveda for troubled, stressed, highly-expressive and congested skin, and our Neem Purifying Infusion is traditionally crafted in the Ayurvedic style of herbal oil cured infusion - simmered in water to make a powerfully strong decoction. The decoction is strained, added to organic sesame oil with more neem leaves, and then the three are gently cooked over a low temperature until the water from the decoction evaporates and you are left with a very concentrated extract of neem infused into the sesame oil.
The immortelle half of this formulation comes from an infusion based on the traditional western-herbalism technique. Fresh immortelle flowers are infused into extra-virgin, California-grown olive oil for a period of four to six weeks, and then strained. Immortelle is an incredible ally for all skin, but especially skin that is troubled, irritated, and reactive.
We blend these two oils and then add a few drops of immortelle essential oil to complete this purifying and soothing trifecta. Neem Immortelle Purifying Infusion is our first choice oil serum for congested, blemish-prone and deeply-troubled skin.
Lemon Thyme HydroSoul adds yet another layer of the powerful plant to this synergy. Sweet, refreshing, cooling, and rejuvenating, Lemon Thyme HydroSoul is an excellent choice for blemish-prone, minimizing the appearance of pores, absorbs excess oil, hydrates and enlivens skin. This duo purifies, clarifies and calms like nothing else.
Oil + Water: By using Oil and Water we support and mimic the skin's protective hydrolipid barrier. This simple pairing realigns our skin with its own innate rhythm, supports the skin's own natural defenses, enhances the skin's ability to detoxify, and encourages the skin's own moisturizing and hydration strategy. When layered together oils hold the waters to the skin, while waters anchor the moisture from the oils more deeply. This pairing is a perfect delivery system for nutrients. Essential fatty acids, antioxidants and both water-soluble and fat-soluble phytonutrients are delivered and completely bioavailable in this form. Most people who apply a twice daily application of their oil serum and HydroSoul find that this simple pairing provides enough moisture and hydration so that they need nothing else for their skin to feel properly hydrated and moisturized.

How to Use
- Start with 5 to 7 sprays of hydrosol on face.
- Add 1 to 2 pumps of oil serum into palm of hand.
- Add generous misting of hydrosol to oil serum: 5 to 7 sprays.
- Combine the two together between palms of hands.
- Press the mixture into clean face evenly distributing between cheeks, forehead & chin.
- Finish with misting of hydrosol.

As someone who has struggled with rosacea, this magic combo has cured me.
I use the neem mixed with rose patchouli milk cleanser to remove makeup.
Then I use the neem alone for a second cleanse.
I remove both with a hot washcloth.
Then I spray my face with the hydrosol and mix some in my hand with a drop of neem and a drop of pomegranate oil. Then press into my skin.
Love this ritual.

This multi-use oil combo is interesting because you can use it as an cleanser and/or as a serum. I find it works well for both. However, it doesn’t help my sensitive skin with breakouts like I was hoping it would. The good thing is, it doesn’t necessarily add to breaking me out either. I don’t find it hydrating enough for my skin, but if you’re looking for a not too heavy oil combo, you might like this product.
