Chamomile Eye Care Cream is a deeply regenerating daily treatment created specifically for the very delicate skin that surrounds the eye area, both the upper and lower lid area. Consistent use minimizes and softens visible lines and wrinkles and the gentle, natural fragrances of organic lavender and chamomile essential oils relax and release tension held in the eye area. Light, nourishing plant oils leave the skin velvety smooth, providing a soft luminous glow.

NEW additions and improvements! Our intensive botanical Chamomile Eye Cream is still rich in antioxidants, artisan distilled hydrosols, flower petal waxes, active herbal extracts and organic plant oils to restore radiance, deeply moisturize, tone and refresh the delicate skin of the eye area.

What we've taken out: We’ve removed vegetable emulsifying wax NF, retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), and grapefruit seed extract. In their places, we’re using the more holistic choices of cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate, derived from olive oil, as the emulsifier; and sodium benzoate and gluconolactone as the preservative. These ingredients are all improvements. They’re accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert, and have some of the best ratings in Skin Deep’s Cosmetic Safety Database.

How to Use

Press a small amount of our Eye Cream around the upper and lower eyelid area. Allow a few minutes to penetrate and then apply eye shadow, if desired. Finish with a spray of Facial Tonic Hydrosol.

Store away from heat and light.

Ingredients below are rated 0 or 1, where 0 is the best rating and 10 is the most toxic, by Skin Deep Environmental Working Group.

Cetyl esters (0): Cetyl esters are esters of fatty alcohols derived from coconut oil. It acts to lubricate the skin and contributes to stability of the cream.

Beta glucan (0): Derived from whole oats. This carbohydrate has been found to relieve skin irritations, speed wound healing, stimulate collagen synthesis and immune function.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (1): Commonly known as fractionated coconut oil. It is the medium sized fatty acid chains (8 and 10 carbons) from the coconut oil. It has a lighter feel than plain coconut oil so that it provides a non-greasy emollient to the skin.

Cetearyl Olivate (0) and Sorbitan Olivate (0): Together, cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate provide a safe, PEG-free emulsifying system. Both are derived from olive oil and provide emolliency, increased hydration and protection to the skin. Accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert.

Cetyl Palmitate (0-1) and Sorbitan Palmitate (0): An olive oil derived emulsion stabilizer. Accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert.

Hydroxyethylcellulose (0): A gelling agent derived from plant cellulose. It is used to control thickness and stability as well as provide a protective, water retaining layer next to the skin.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide (0): This is a small protein obtained by microbial fermentation. It strengthens the dermis.

Allantoin (0): Found in plants such as comfrey. It increases the water content of skin, promotes cell growth and helps remove dead skin cells from the upper layer of skin.

Sodium Benzoate (1) and Gluconolactone (0): Sodium benzoate is a natural, food grade preservative. Gluconolactone, a natural product derived from gluconic acid, a carbohydrate, can sooth and hydrate skin. When these two are paired together, Gluconolactone will boost the preservative effect of sodium benzoate. Accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert.

Hydrolyzed Oat Powder (0): Derived from oats. Reduces irritation, repairs the epidermal skin barrier, moisturizes, and reduces the effects of UVA radiation on skin. It also stimulates collagen production to build and protect the dermis of the skin.
