In 2020 amidst the early days of the pandemic, we released a limited run Oil Serum we hoped would provide some comfort and solace to stressed skin and psyches everywhere. The response was so tremendous and the Oil Serum so beloved that for months we found ourselves receiving pleading requests to bring it back and into the line as a permanent fixture.
And so we have. Welcome to the family Sandalwood Serenity Serum.
If we were to christen this oil with a single word to encompass its presence and personality it would be this: Comfort.
Sandalwood Serenity Serum is a moisture-drench of comfort to the skin and to the spirit. When the world is harsh and stress is high and our skin might be reflecting it — that is the time for Sandalwood Serenity Serum.
Simple and peaceful, this luscious serum centers around the rare superstar of an oil — sandalwood seed oil.
Sandalwood seed oil is a CO2-extracted lipid-rich oil pressed from the seeds of the sandalwood tree. Unlike the sandalwood essential oil many people might be familiar with, which is distilled from the tree’s wood, sandalwoodseed oil is a silky, nourishing and moisturizing oil abundant in the incredibly unique and rare lipid ximenynic acid, a deeply heat pacifying fatty acid.
With its abundance of ximenynic and oleic acids, sandalwood seed oil is a wonder for sensitive, troubled, reactive & dry skin. In addition to sandalwood seed, we’ve added a few supporting characters: Al Amal Co-operative argan oil, vanilla infused jojoba oil, and sandalwood essential oil. All together these precious oils create a shroud of silken tranquility to carry your skin through it’s most difficult days.
