If you’re a fan of aged patchouli you’ll love our Patchouli Vanilla Shea Butter. We’ve added aged Indonesian patchouli to a luscious vanilla from Madagascar. Like a fine wine, patchouli ages well, and if left in a cool, dark space will develop earthy and sweet, amberlike notes growing richer, rounder and deeper over time. Patchouli, with its grounding and relaxing effect on the mind and body, is especially beneficial on dry and irritated skin.
Daily application regenerates and repairs, heals and restores, and has an remarkable effect on wrinkles, softening and smoothing, easing and erasing signs of stress held in our face and eye area. After a few days of consistent use skin appears noticeably improved. Our Patchouli Vanilla Shea Butter, rich in essential fatty acids, cinnamic acid, and vitamins C, E, and K, heals many types of dry, sensitive skin conditions while providing maximum barrier protection without a heavy feeling or clogging tiny dermal pores. It is especially effective when treating inflamed skin conditions such as eczema, rosacea, psoriasis, rashes, dry and burned skin.
Our Whipped Shea Butters are a combination of luscious and nourishing oils: California grown extra-virgin olive oil, calendula-infused sunflower oil, and a Madagascar vanilla infused coconut oil. These restorative and concentrated butters are prepared by hand in small batches. Over a period of four to six hours we slowly add each oil into the raw unrefined shea butter as it gently and continuously whips. At the end, we add the flower remedy of Self Heal.
Our Shea Butter comes to us from the Tapko Widows Group, a small community of women in northern Ghana. This remarkable group of women hand-harvest and process the shea nuts into shea butter using labor-intensive, traditional methods that have been handed down over centuries. The Tapko Widows are paid a premium price and a percentage of sales goes to a micro-credit project in their support, complementing their subsistence agriculture-based economy. Tapko is a small village located near the Burkina Faso border in Ghana's Upper West Region.
This truly unrefined product has been extracted without chemical solvents, cleansers or bleaching agents. As a result small granules may occur, which in no way compromises its quality, and will dissolve instantly when massaged into skin. Variations in color and fragrance may also occur. Unrefined shea butter is high in valuable unsaponifiables, which add emolliency and softness to skin. Vitamin E protects against oxidation, and naturally occuring phytosterols contribute to cell membrane integrity.
As a daytime moisturizer: Taking a finger-full of Shea Butter warm and soften between the palms of your hand. Massage into area of face or body to be treated. Finish by misting with of one of our Facial Tonic Hydrosols to increase hydration and penetration.
As a Shea Treatment Mask: An alternative to our Clay Treatment Masks, our Whipped Shea Butters make ideal regenerating, nourishing and restorative treatments for dry and/or sensitive skin in need of rebuilding from over-use or over-reliance on harsh glycolic (AHA) treatments, fruit enzymes, or dermabrasions. It is worth noting that ‘natural’ fruit enzymes can weaken the integrity of the epidermal layer resulting in thin, desperately dry and splotchy skin.
How to apply a Shea Mask
Step 1
Warm a small amount of Whipped Shea Butter between the palms of the hands and massage into clean, slightly damp skin. Leave on to fully absorb – at least 15 minutes.
Step 2
Enhance the Shea Butter Treatment by pressing a series (two to three or more) of warm washcloths just against face, allowing the moist warmth of the washcloth to penetrate the Shea Butter into the skin.
Step 3
Finish with a final wipe, removing any remaining Shea Butter off face. Your skin will look and feel exquisitely clean, velvety smooth, and calm.
This treatment helps to restore, protect and strengthen skin structure.

Hello! I wrote to you about a year ago expressing my gratitude for your line and requesting advice on the skin rash (perioral dermatitis) around my mouth. Your products have been more helpful than any other line I have ever used! I'm currently in massage therapy school and have been cutting back on spending to devote more of my energy to what I'm learning. In doing so, I tried several different face washes, hoping to find one that was congruent with my spending capabilities. Of course, my skin only suffered and the cleansers I used exacerbated my skin condition. I had a tiny bit of your Tea Tree Cleanser left in a bottle and as soon as I began cleansing my face, I could feel it vibrating at a higher level, as if it were humming! I could literally feel its gratitude. I've also begun using the Patchouli Vanilla Shea Butter on my rash and it has diminished GREATLY! What little is still there, I simply cover with concealer. Because of these very visible improvements, skin care has become a ritual that I deeply enjoy. The care and intention with which your products are prepared is unparalleled. The evanhealy line has been firmly incorporated into my life and philosophy, no matter what my monetary situation! :) Thank you again!

Dear evanhealy, I can't find a way to submit a review on your site. However, I first bought the Evan Healy blemish products in a trial package for my teen. She had begged for the ProActive stuff she saw on tv and was SO disappointed with it. I try to teach her that natural is usually better. She used the blemish package as directed and literally saw overnight results. There's a little roll on to use directly on breakout spots and, when used in conjunction with the cleanser and moisturizer, cleared her up. I decided to try the Whipped Shea Butter Patchouli Vanilla moisturizer. I am 46, going through menopause, have small scars on my face, am a smoker, and am habitually dehydrated. (shame on me). I also use the rose clay masque. The masque makes my skin look SO much better immediately - smaller pores, dead skin gone. The moisturizer takes about a week for the full effects, but! My skin literally looks ten years younger. The small scars are minimized, the dry skin/laugh lines around my mouth are pretty much gone, and I really have a nice, healthy glow. Using the moisturizer takes a bit of getting used to - I've found it best to keep my face COMPLETELY wet, take a very small amount and warm it up between my fingers, then pat/massage it in. I love Evan Healy and do NOT spend a lot of money otherwise on makeup or skin care. Thank you! April M.
I received my order of Whipped Patchouli Vanilla Shea Butter yesterday. Thank you! Let me say that there is NOTHING on the market to compare to your product! I have tried dozens and dozens of department store brand moisturizers, drugstore brands, and also organic all natural brands. I have searched for years for the perfect "treatment/moisturizer/facial softener/line minimizer, etc" all in one product. I have found it with the whipped patchouli vanilla shea butter. It is my all in one! I cleanse with rosewater, the mix a little vitamin C L-ascorbic acid powder with the rosewater to put on my face, and finish with the shea butter. My face is SO very soft as a result. And it even controls blemishes. Everything else breaks me out! And I am 55 years old! People guess me to be in my 30's all the time! The cream, in combination with the vitamic C has almost completely eliminated my age spots, my skin discolorations, and my fine lines! I just wanted to thank you for making such a wonderful product. Please, please don't ever stop making it! Wendy N. - Florida
